F/U Appointments

Did you have a 2 week follow up to check on the incision/healing process?Or any follow up appointment other than 6 weeks post partum? My OB only gave me a 6 week f/u. It seemed strange to me that you'd have major surgery but not have a f/u visit for so long. If it makes any difference, I did not have staples with the incision. I had steri-strips which fell off after 1 week pp. Obviously I'd call if I thought there was something wrong, but I think it would be more reassuring if my OB did schedule an appointment prior to 6 weeks.

I was just thinking the same thing, that it's strange that there isn't a 2 week f/u. Both with this c-section and my last I was scheduled to see my OB at 6 wks.

Yes, a 2 week appt. To check healing/incision site and lear me to drive - both times.

I only had a 6-week follow up. I had staples that were removed before I left the hospital. I was told to remove the steri-strips 2-3 weeks PP if they hadn't already fallen off.

I have a 4 week follow up. Not sure if I'll have a 6 week too or if that's it. He actually scheduled me for the 4 week before we knew I'd be having a c section too.

With my first I only had the 6 week pp check up.

This time I had pre-e after my son was born so I was at the doctor's office once a week for 6 weeks. They didn't check the anything but my BP until the 6th week though.

My hospital requires a 1 wk f/u for mother and baby no matter how you delivered at their facility and then my doctor had me in for a 2 wk and 6 wk. Since everything was going well and as a STM I was aware of all the normal newborn stuff the 1 wk and 2 wk

My delivery was traumatic and unexpected, so my OB wanted to see me the following week, where she checked my incision. I'm going back again in 5 weeks.
