my situation

Hello everyone, I have had 2 c/s and the last one was 6 years ago. I want to have a vbac but dh is not liking this idea. he thinks that I will die or something. Another thing is my dr only delivers at this one hospital which I am terrified to deliver at. I really like my dr and don't want to have to change but I want to deliver at another hospital instead. The thing with the hospital is I have heard so many horror stories about people having babies there and they have passed because of something the hospital has done. my father has also told me that he would pay for a helicopter to take me to another hospital, I think he is overreacting but he is very serious. the closest hospital is an hour away and so is the drs that my insurance will cover. I am high risk and just don't want to travel that far every 2-3 weeks to be seen. should I tell the dr about me wanting to continue to see him but want to deliver at another hospital or should I just find another provider and suck it up I am totally on the fence

    If your insurance covers other providers that attend vbacs at the preferred hospital, then it's probably easiest just to switch doctors.

    I would switch if it was me - I don't like to have bad feelings about anything medical related.

    I would switch.  I think your confidence in everything related to your VBAC, especially the hospital you are in, plays a part in the success.  Not that you couldn't have success otherwise, but every bit helps and fear won't push you into anythin
