Peeps w/ autoimmune diseases

If you have an auto immune disease, are you seeing a high risk perinatologist? Or are you with a regular ob that also handles high risk pregnancies?

  • I have Celiac, but I'm just seeing my regular OB.  There's not really treatment for Celiac except to not eat gluten so it's not interfering with the pregnancy.

    I'm sure that didn't really help at all....haha

  • I have Crohn's as well, but am in remission at the moment. My doctor had been aware of my disease for five or six years and has delivered several babies from mothers with Crohn's. If I flare, I'll be referred to a specialist, but so far, so good.
