How long did it take your lo to learn to roll both directions

How long did it take your lo to Lear n to roll both ways?

Alexis learned to roll from back to front a little over a month ago, but still can't roll front to back.  How long did it take your lo?  I'm getting so tired of her rolling onto her tummy and crying because she can't get back over.

Re: How long did it take your lo to learn to roll both directions

  • Dd has rolled both ways, but has recently become a lazy bum when it comes to it. She'd much rather sit than be on her tummy or back.

  • DD has not rolled Confused  But she is sitting on her own, so I am not too concerned.  She hates tummy time, so I am assuming that is why.

  • DS hates tummy time. As soon as I flip him on his tummy, he rolls back to his back. I worry he will never crawl! He has yet to flip from back to tummy, but rolls fine from tummy to back and can sit up unassisted.

  • DS has been pretty good at rolling onto his tummy for a couple of weeks. He just started rolling onto his back this weekend.

  • I can count on one hand the number of times DD has rolled.  The times she had rolled front to back are more like her falling over, she doesn't know how to do it purposefully.  And she's only rolled back to front once a few weeks ago.
  • DS rolled from tummy to back about a month ago and he just started about a week ago back to tummy... now he does it all the time.  It drives me nuts because when he naps if he rolls from tummy to back he wakes up

  • I'm still waiting for mine to roll in either direction...lol
  • Mine has been rolling from belly to back for quite a while....but just finally rolled from back to belly.  He has only done it 2 or 3 times.  And, he always goes in the same direction, to the left, when he tries.

  • K started going both directions around 5 months, and J has not figured out rolling at all yet.

  • DS rolled back->tummy the day before he turned 4 months.  He was crying a lot the first few days because he couldn't get back to his back. It was awful at night because we'd flip him back on his back, and 3 seconds later he was back on his tumm

  • He was rolling both ways when he turned 3 months.  He has very good motor skills though and has always liked tummy time.  I read that some babies don't have an interest in rolling and go straight to sitting so I wouldn't be too worried

  • Um...ours was a strange situation. He had rolled from tummy to bak at four weeks. He was very stiff and tense from a hard labor and birth so it was easy for him. At about two and half months he was starting to relax his body and could no longer do it. The
