  I did register for them, but I wish I got more of the stuff moms need.  Like lotion, shampoo, body wash, diapers, wipes, etc.  We've probably spend more $ on that stuff than anything else.  Granted, not all lotions, diapers, etc work well with every baby, but the stuff we wanted to use before DD got here ended up working great for her.  I got waaay too many baby towels/washcloths and blankets.

  Thank you! I think the main things I want are the pack and play and stroller car seat set...We have already started buying diapers and plan to buy them up until I can't move anymore lol. What is something you didn't get, but wish you would have? I'm trying to think of useful things to put on the registry..

  Take it easy on buying diapers unless you get great deals.  We have changed the brand of diapers we use so many times and it is so hard to predict how many you will need in each size and what will work best for your baby. People tend to bring small bags of diapers to showers which is great because you can try the brand and see how they work before buying the giant boxes.  

  I recommend looking at the Amazon registry.  They have suggestions based on categories which is really helpful.  You can also review top sellers. Also, think of people you know that are having babies and go creep on their registries.  Or search for random registries.  I got several ideas that way.

  Finally...read www.lucieslist.com ...  it is a lifesaver!  Good luck and congrats!

  I received a jjcole bundleme and a bundleme lite at my shower. They fit in baby carrier and keep LO warm. I love my boppy for feeding, would recommend registering for 23 covers. Tiny diner placemat for diaper bag once LO starts eating finger foods I get a lot of compliments restaurants

  This is a great question..and I am a FTM so I have no idea what I am doing either....What I did do for diapers was instead of buying specific brands (because you never know what the brand will work for baby according to 99% of BTDT moms)...I am putting $20 a week on a gift card while I am working..This way, by the time baby comes I will have a nice little stash for diapers (when I am out on maternity leave with no pay)....Just a thought...

  I think carry cot for baby, Blankets, fun game, baby kit is some items which are always welcomed in the baby shower. This is the basic things that most of the people register for.
