Circumcision question ?

At my son's 9 month check up I found out that his circumcision had re-adhered.  My doctor gave me some cream to put on twice a day for 10 days.  We went back to the doctor today and she confirmed that the cream didn't work and now we have to see a urologist.  From what she told me, she said it's common and most likely will fix itself, but still recommends we see the urologist.  I feel so bad for my little guy.  Has anyone experienced this?  Did your son have to have a second circumcision?

    My DS's circumcision continues to try and re-adhere, but I was advised by our doctor at his 3 month visit that if I didn't pull the foreskin back to reveal that ridge he would have to have a second circ done and I didn't want that. So routinely at nigh

    My son is a little over a year and we have an apt at the Urologist next monday because it adheres all the time no matter how much we pull it back,  but more then that they didn't cut enough off. So we shall see what happens.

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

    6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    We started having that problem with ds's skin too. During one of our routine doc visits he just forced it back, it made ds cry. It was red for a few hours and then was fine. Doc told us to keep pulling it back and to put vasoline on it for a few days to k

    Yup, my son had to have his adhesions broken and then we went to the urologist. It isn't bad and the urologist just wanted us to be vigilant about pulling back the foreskin and putting Aquaphor around the head to prevent it from readhering. We have to

    I'm happy to see, we aren't the only one with this issue...I feel that even thoughI pull it back, it seems to re-adhere....

    Thank you everyone for your responses!  I'm glad I'm not the only one going through this.  At my son's 4 month appointment my doctor pulled back the skin and told me I needed to pull it back at every diaper chan

    I think my midwife didn't cut enough off also.  My Dr. said that's not the case....I don't believe her! :)

    1/24/2020 - IUI #5 (50mg of Clomid + Trigger + Crinone after IUI) = BFN and an Ovarian Cyst
    3/2/2020 - Taking a break to reset/NTNP
    11/1/2020 - At peace with where things are in life and are no long actively TTC. Whatever happens will happen and it will all be okay. <3

    The babies came at 36 weeks, so I think that has something to do with why we have to do the circ revision. It looked ok at his 1&2 mo ck up and then @ 4 mos, the pedi said we should see a uro. The urologist said that baby boys have a testosterone surg

Twin m/c @ 5.5 wks :( Dec/Jan 2011 IVF #2 Only 4 eggs retrieved-Ganirelix dose messed up BFFN Feb/March 2011 IVF #3 ER 3/9 9 eggs, 7 fertilized, ET 3/14, No frosties.     I am just lurking as my son is not as old as the others on this board.  I was also not told to do anything with his circ.  except vaseline for the first 2 days at diaper changes.  At his 6 mos. appt the pedi had to pull it back bc it had

    Unfortunately circumcision care can be confusing.  Here's what I tell parents (disclaimer I'm a pediatrician).

     

    If your son is UNCIRCUMCISED:

    -- Dont mess with with the foreskin at all.  You can accidentally cause a ph

    Yep...little man's re-adhered too...she had to fix it at his 6 month appointment. No one told us about pulling it back and cleaning and said to put some vasoline around the head until he turns a year old

    I felt like such a bad mother!!! No where
