Babies: 3 - 6 Months

could this be the beginning of teething?

My son has not drooled at all before this week and now all the sudden he is chewing on his hands more (before it was only when he was hungry) and he is drooling.  Is this just something new or does this mean he might be getting ready to teeth?  I have a friend whose daughter teethed at 4 months and who she says drools a lot. I'm just curious.  Any thoughts?

  • Sound like it to me!  We had been having the same issue for about a week and then all of sudden a couple days ago I noticed baby felt warm and had really rosy cheeks.  Sure enough, I saw little buds in there yesterday.

  • DD started doing that at about 8-9 weeks old about a week after I first suspected teething white caps started forming. She has six total now and two of them are huge! The almost look like little teeth but it's just from the pressure of teeth on her gums.
