S/o allergies

I have developed seasonal allergies fairly recently. Mine are in full force right now. E has had a stuffy nose and cough for going on 3 weeks now. He's not running a fever at all and he seems to still have his usual energy level. We're also both fighting our eczema right now.

I'm thinking E has seasonal allergies too. Do anyone else's kiddos have this? Is it worth calling the pedi? Is there anything they can give him?

  • Yes!  As I understand from C's allergist and pedi, they need one season for exposure and then it can come back in full force the next.  We had C outside a lot around 3/4/5 months so apparently that was his exposure season and last year hit hi

  • Apparently, yes.  We were told at the pedi this morning (yet another eye/ear infection!) to start giving daily Zyrtec for allergies.  She told me 1/2 tsp daily.  It's an OTC med.

  • Interesting. Is it just regular Zyrtec? I couldn't get into the pedi until tomorrow and I'm desperate for a full night sleep!
