Beverly Hospital?

Pregnant with first child. Looking to deliver at Beverly Hospital and heard good things through a friend. Have others delivered here and had good experiences?

Re: Beverly Hospital?

  • This is my first baby so I have no experience but just wanted to say that I have also heard nothing but amazing things about Beverly Hospital. I want to deliver there but my care is through MGH so I can't. Everyone who I have spoken to recommends Beverly!

  • I delivered my daughter there 18 months ago and I had an amazing experience.  The nurses were nice, everything was very personable.  I would highly recommend BH.

Thanks! Did you use Essex county OBGYN?
  • I'm a patient at Essex County OBGYN. I'm pregnant right now, so I haven't delivered at Beverly Hospital, but I'm going to. So far everyone at Essex County and Beverly Hospital has been great!

  • I had a great experience with both BH and Essex County OB I recommend Dr Dilillo.
  • We had a great experience with the OB's and hospital. They were awesome!
  • I delivered at Beverly Hospital 6 months ago and everyone was so nice! It is a really great place to deliver.
  • FWIW Beverly Hospital and Winchester Hospital have the two most advanced NICU's in the are outside of Boston.  Both are Level IIB, while most others are Level II.
  • Thanks for all the input! I'm feeling good about our decision and have first appointment Thursday.
  • I don't have any personal experience at Beverly but have had friends deliver there and have loved it. I live in Andover so half of my friends have delivered there and the other half, like myself, have delivered at Winchester. I think you've picked a wonderful choice and best of luck!

Funny- I also live in Andover and had my first at Beverly but am switching this time to Winchester because the drive to Beverly was too much while in labor.  Did you have Dr. Rotter?

  • I delivered my son at Beverly Hospital with Essex County OBGYN midwives and they were awesome! Both the nurses at the hospital and the group of midwives are so nice and do everything they can to make you as comfortable as possible. I am pregnant w my second and will be delivering there again.
  • We delivered our first child 2 1/2 years ago at Beverly Hospital and highly recommend it. We plan to deliver our 2nd baby there as well. All of the Drs and nurses we dealt with we're great. They also offer a lot of helpful and informational classes.
  • I'm a patient at Essex County OBGYN, I definitely like it so far. I'm due August 31st. I see the midwives there are they have been great. I'm hoping to go natural and it seems like they are "natural friendly" at Beverly hospital, which is great.

  • I had my baby 2 months ago there and it was excellent. I was originally at the birthing center on campus but ended up needing an emergency c-section and everyone worked together beautifully. My baby was in NICU there and again the care was above and beyond. We are home now and she is 100% and I would go there if we decide to have another.
