Uterus tightening only one one side

Sometimes when I am laying down, I can feel my ute tighten only on one side. It feels like when I was much further along with my son and he would drag an arm or a leg along my belly and push out. Obviously, I am aware that is not what I'm feeling at only 14 weeks, so it must just be my uterus growing or stretching or something? Anyone else experience this?

  • Sometimes I felt that way when mine was stretching but then it eventually went to both sides and felt more crampy than anything. Actually, it is happening right now but I just felt a kick in that area so I am sure baby is there.

  • It's probably baby moving to one side. My LO loves to hide her whole body on the left side of my ute. It makes that side a little crampy and tight feeling, and when I press down on my uterus I can feel the difference between empty space and where she is.&

  • Me too! I was going to post about this. There are many days when I'm lying down and feel my uterus harder than normal. And then days when the left side is harder and bumps out more than my right side. Very weird. I'm about to start week 16.

  • I've been feeling a ton of things that I didn't feel until much later the first time around. This is one of them.
  • The other day when I woke up, I could visibly see that my belly was a little uneven. I'm still early and haven't felt movement yet (none that I wasn't sure if it was gas or not anyway), but that definitely wasn't my imagination. I think baby was all the w

I'm a FTM, so I don't have previous experience, but I have been feeling something similar for a few weeks.  It's getting stronger now, but it's like shifting pressure in my UTE.

I described it to my husband as a pool cue rolling aroun
