  I make ds "cough juice."  It is basically mild tea, honey, and a little juice all heated up.  It is soothing for his throat and really helped with coughing.

  We put a little bit of honey in their milk and if they wake up coughing a lot I give them a bit of honey. Otherwise just a humidifier and elevate their mattress a little if they're really congested.

  As silly as it sounds try Vicks vapo rub on the soles of his feet them socks on top so the blankets don't get greasy. I didn't believe it until I tried it in my son a few weeks ago when he had a terrible cough and he slept through the night without one co
