really bad gas?

Ok that is such a terrible title, but I have to ask..  My sweet little guy has THE WORST gas... several times a day... ever since we started solid food about 6 weeks ago.  It is really really terrible.  He doesn't seem fussy - but he only has a dirty diaper every 3-4 days, so that doesn't help the issue to say the least.  Does this come with the intro of solids? Or does it signal an allergy to something?

    DS had horrible gas until we switched his bottles (I was honestly just sick of washing all of the parts that come with Dr.B's, so I bought a bunch of Avent off of a girl I know). Dr.B's gave him AWFUL gas...I mean, all of the time, every day. He doesn'
