Jack and Jill?

Just heard that this is a coed theme name for a shower. We would like our baby shower to be coed. Anyone else considering? Found some cute invitation ideas on etsy.com we want to plan a BBQ. Any other cool websites for this coed idea? Thx!

Re: Jack and Jill?

  • We had a coed shower with our DS. I didn't really look up themes or anything, but we had a BBQ. A Jack and Jill theme sounds like fun =)

Does your host have room for a co-ed shower (it is twice the amount of people to invite both parts of a couple)?

Surely your host already has ideas about an invitation. I would not be too pushy wit

  • I didn't host my own, my family did. I'm not quite sure about doing it yourself. I now etiquette is you should not, but I wouldn't think anything about it if one of my friends did. I guess I kind of see it as that's what people do when they get pregn

  • I'm throwing a "jack and jill" for my SIL.  It's a BBQ and we have 82 adults and 20 kids RSVP'd.  The number of guests isn't really a big deal for us as we're holding it at her house (indoor/outdoor) and DH's family runs a catering/tent compa

  • I asked the host to have it be a Coed BBQ. Since we're having a girl, i'm also highly suggesting not too much pink so the guys don't feel weird. Dh and I are big on socializing vs party games, so keeping it simple.

Our shower will be coed. Hubs has been so supportive and involved I think it would hurt him if he and his friends weren't invited.
  • I went to a coed shower BBQ last year and they had a race through an obstacle course for the guys.  They had baby dolls with strollers, had to navigate through cones and sticks.  Feed the baby doll, change the baby doll, and swaddle it. It was r
