Going outside

Hey mamas!

I was wondering when it would be okay to go for walks outside with DS. Right now our city temperature is averaging 0 degrees Celsius which is about 32 degrees for you American bumpies. Should I just bundle him up in blankets and go, or should I wait for it to get a bit warmer?

  • Our first was a Dec baby and we went for walks in that temp.  We used the carseat/stroller combo though, with one of those shower cap style covers + a blanket + warm clothes.  He was always toasty in there with no issues.

Do you babywear?  Most carriers will keep babies nice and warm bc they share your body heat.

  • We get out almost every day in temps like that. I just bundle him up, wrap him in a few blankets, and pop him in the bassinet part of the stroller. Other times I wear him and put on a thick sweater and coat that I can put up around him without covering
