a race to the bathroom

in 1st Trimester
I am six weeks and lately I've been needing to urinate more than usual. Why is this happening? I thought this only happened once the baby was bigger, more like in the second trimester?

    It's a combination of things. Your kidneys are working better you, now have more blood pumping through your system, you are probably drinking more, and your uterus IS growing and pushing on your bladder. Even though it's not very big yet it does push on i

    Same here.  I have to get up twice during the night.  I didn't remember this starting so early last time.  I guess that is what they mean when they say you look back at prior pregnancies with rose colored glasses.  LOL
