XP Unlatches after 5 min.

Any ideas as to why?She will latch and nurse great for 5 minutes, then will unlatch and scream and cry rather than latch back on.This is new as we're trying to reestablish bfing after eping (with a 1-2 nursing sessions a day). Previously, LO would nurse for 10 min or so on only 1 side, often with a shallow latch.

    Have you tried burping her when she does this? It could be gas.

    My first DS did this during a period of long time supplementing.  It was a bottle preference issue for us.  My let-down/ milk flow wasn;t fast enough for him after having gotten used to the bottle.  It just took time and no more bottles

    Thanks. I don't think it's gas--none of the signs plus burping doesn't help. I think it might be that after th initial letdown, she's having to work harder than she"s used to,

    DS does this for some feedings. What I do, it burp him, if he burps I try to offer that breast again. If not, I offer the other breast. If he latches on that one and stays on I feed him from that and sometimes try the one he was fussy on afterward. I thin

    I have a crazy letdown and DS pulls off at that and also due to gas. If he pulls off and screams I flip him onto his tummy over my legs and pat his back then let him try again a few min later.

    Do you have an oversupply issue? My son does this and I finally realized it is because he is done eating! I pumped for the first time today. With a manual pump I pumped almost four ounces in five minutes! So for us, five minutes of nursing fills him up an
