Scary...

My baby is exclusively breastfeed and two times now he has spit up and started coughing.  It seems like he's choking. His neck bulges out. It scares the crap out of me.  Both times, I sat him up and patted his back to get everything out. 

Anyone else?  Any advice?  I'm a FTM and in tears.  I'm scared to sleep now.

    My LO does that all the time. My doctor said it was normal and nothing to worry about. I normally sit him up and rub his back.

    Have you been successful with getting some good burps out? 

    Is LO spitting up at night?  I have to lay DD on her side to sleep just incase... I use two rolled blankets on either side to keep her wedged.

    My LO does the same thing. I rub her back and if that doesn't help I use the suction bulb to clear her throat. It's terrifying!!

    This was scary for me too, and I was worried about what would happen if she spit up while laying down sleeping....the other day I laid her down in her crib while I was organizing her laundry, and I happened to be looking at her when when she spit up a lit
