Listeria in the kitchen

    Yeah, some boiling water and white vinegar followed by bleach wipes should solve that. I take my drawers out regularly and wash them by hand. Depending on the make/model/drawer you can also send it through the dishwasher.

    Thank you for the reminder. There was something I wanted to clean yesterday but could not remember for the life of me. Time to scrub the fridge.

    My DH just literally took apart our entire fridge (drawers and shelves came out and everything) to do a complete deep clean.

    Thank goodness cleaning the entire fridge was the first thing I did when I started getting my energy back two weeks ago.  And I put everything through my dishwasher, but if I did not have one, I would totally be freaking out after reading that articl

    This is what I don't get: every article I read on listeria talks about how easy it is to isolate from uncooked veggies, meats, feces, etc. That it's this resilient bug found everywhere. Why is it considered rare to contract listeriosis? Twelve out of 100,
