cervical length less than 1 cm

Hello ladies. I recently had an emergency cerclage placed after discovering my cervix measured to be around .63 inches. My doctor pretty much explained that if I didn't have the procedure, I would lose my child, and, if I did.. I still may. I'm almost 19 Weeks and I'm on strict bedrest and trying to do everything I can to save my baby girl. I'm interested in hearing some similar stories from you guys. I believe that prayer and a sound mind are my only chances at life for my loved one, but I could use some communication between mothers who are going through the same walk of life. Sweet dreams.

  • I had a loss at 21 weeks due to IC. We elected not to have the cerclage due to the risk of infection and low chance of success.

    The difference between us: I was dilated 2.5 cm and while very short your cervix is still closed.
