Rosy cheeks and nose

in Babies: 3 - 6 Months
Dd is 3.5 months and for the past week has has a reddish nose and occasionally red cheeks. The cheeks look almost shiny when the sun hits them just right too, but only when rosy. She's been sleeping pretty crappy and is displaying signs of teething. She doesn't have swollen or red gums though. Here's a pic, anyone else dealt with this?

    Welcome to the first signs of teething! My DD has had this for 4 or 5 weeks along with excessive drool and putting everything in her mouth.

    Not necessarily d/t teething

    My guy has had this for the past 2 mos and he isn't teething.  It's from the drool and spit up and he just has sensitive skin. I think he also has some mild eczema too. plus he now sleeps on his belly so his face

    She does sleep on her tummy and I have very sensitive skin. Hmm

    My kiddo's cheeks look just like that and they were warm to the touch the other evening.  He's teething like crazy and is also congested.  Tylenol's helping.

    I also thought eczema. Both of my kid's faces look(ed) like that when their skin was too dry.

    I mentioned this to my mom and she reminded me that I had eczema when I was a baby. I even have a picture of me in the bath covered in it I just looked at last week. I don't know how it never occurred to me. I'm having my mom pick up aquaphor on her way h

    If the Aquaphor doesn't work, try Cerave. I use the body wash and cream on both kids and it works really well at keeping their eczema at bay. The derm recommended it and it has made a huge improvement.

    DS's cheeks get like that, especially during the winter and when he is sick. I use Dr Boudreaux's baby kisses for lips and cheeks. Clears it up overnight! Aquaphor and other stuff never worked for us.
