Trying to Get Pregnant

Hey everyone!
I'm 29, will be 30 in Aug and that's when we will actively start TTC. I'm still on probation in my new job, and we have a destination wedding planned and don't want to jeopardize a potential baby's health with the flight etc.
I'm a bit freaked out because I'm "old", overweight BMI: 33 and right on clue, after 15 years on the pill, I have recent started missing periods last: Jan....
I've never had issues with missing periods before, it's almost like my body knows what I'm getting ready for and now doesn't want to cooperate.
I talked to my doc about getting off the pill now and letting my body get back into the rhythm and obviously preventing with condoms, but she said it wouldn't be necessary. I'm torn.
Does anyone have any advice? Not only on getting off the pill early, but the whole situation.
Having to TTC forever is a huge nightmare to me...

It seem odd to me that you are missing periods while on the pill. I assume you take the traditional 3 weeks on/1 week off BCPs? Does your doctor know about this?

January 10, 2013: Lap removed paratubal cyst and Stage 2 Endometriosis.
3 cycles of Femara + TI = BFNs
June 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 37.5 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFN
July 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 75 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFP!!!!
