Next steps post miscarriage

I had my D&C yesterday and it went well. OB said that the gestational sac and baby had already detached and I was on the road to miscarry in the next couple of days. This gave me comfort to know we made the right decision for D&C. The procedure went well and while I'm bleeding a little today, I feel back to my normal self. In fact, I'm enjoying a cup of coffee. I'm trying to find the bright side (as though there could be one) to not being pregnant anymore. I think I'll go have myself some sushi and wine in the next few days too!

As for next steps, I talked to the embryologist and she confirmed our fears that she doesn't think our final embryo will survive thaw since it's been frozen twice using slow-freeze methods. So that being said, I feel strongly that our next step will be to find more embryos to use in conjunction with our remaining embryo that likely wont survive. This is scary because it's really hard to do, but I feel confident I will some way some how. I may put my feelers out on my blog asking if any of my readers have any that they don't know what to do with, and maybe (if I get enough guts) I might kindly ask on SAIF too. But if any readers here have remaining embryos (or know anyone with remaining embryos) that they want to donate we would be elated to hear about them. I can say that we gave our previous embryos the most love humanly possible in the time we had them. We want more than one child in the long run anyway so it feels like the right thing to do to find more now.

Lastly, we planted a "Little Gem Magnolia" tree in our yard with a perfect little sleeping angel baby statue below it. I always felt like the baby was a girl so I've named her Magnolia (or baby Maggie) and that's brought me enormous amount of comfort thinking of her as a real person that did exist and will always exist in my heart. I put a picture of the tree and statue on my blog.

 3/27/13 - After beta and u/s hell, no heartbeat ever detected. D&C at 9w1d.

6/5/13 - Adopted four new embryos that had been frozen for seven years!  
9/12/13 - DEmbryo FET #2. Thawed and transferred two beautiful blasts
9/17/13 - BFP @ 5dp6dt! EDD 05/31/14
 9/29/13 - m/c @ 5w1d. :(

11/19/13 - DEmbryo FET #3. Thawed and transferred one blast from each batch. Wow!
 11/23/13 - BFP @ 4dp6dt! EDD 8/7/13
Beta #1 @ 13dp6dt - 522  Beta #2 @ 16dp6dt - 1373 
6w5d ultrasound showed one perfect baby with a beautiful heartbeat of 134bpm!

Snowflake baby is a girl!

    I'm so sorry about your miscarriage. It is so unfair to have to go through after all you've been through to get pregnant. I've been lurking on this board and I'm curious as to why you are not looking at a clinic like FIRM? Dh and I are just starting to

    Butting in... I hate that FIRM didn't call you back. I'd read that it normally takes awhile but not that they just don't call at all. That's the clinic I would like to use (we prefer anonymous to known donors) so that's really disappointing. I wonder what

    First off (((HUGSS))) and second. Not sure where you are, but are you willing to travel? Have you looked into CA Conceptions? Just thinking of places here in CA that I saw had DEmbies....

    April 2013 DE IVF= BFN

    September 2013 DE IVF (Fingers Crossed) = BFFFN! again...

    October 2013 FET of our last 2 = Beta Hellzz for 6-7 Weeks. M/C

    We are going through our RE's office.  It sounds like it's unusual based on what other girls on this board have said, but my RE office has a donor embryo program where you can do the

    Married Since 09/2006, TTC Since 09/2010

    Call Cooper Reproductive Institute in NJ and get on their donor embryo list.  You have to travel to their clinic to transfer though.  They will not ship

    Call Shady Grove - I think they might have program too.

    Have heard that there is a clinic in Grand Rapids, MI - Dodds & Young are the RE - don'

    I'm glad the D&C went smoothly and I think the tree and the statue sound lovely.

    I only had one remaining embryo and filled out the donation forms at my clinic.  I don't know what their process is for finding a match for it but you may w

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    I'm so sorry for the loss of baby Maggie.  I'm not familiar with using donated embryos so I don't have any information there but I wanted to wish you peace and success in your next steps.  I hope you have an easier go of it.
    IVF 1 - March 2012 - BFP - lost baby at 20 weeks IVF 2 - September 2012 - cancelled - no response - ridiculously high FSH IVF 2.1 - October 2012 - never even got off the ground Spring 2013 - DE hopeful
