Easter Gifts...

Just wondering what your take is on Easter gifts.  We do a basket from the easter bunny, which usually includes books, and candy, and maybe some small toys like bubbles etc.  From us, we try to do something to play with outside, like this year we got our older two scooters and a new outfit.

I know some people who treat Easter like Christmas and go nuts with gifts!  What do you think?

  • I'm doing little gifts in the basket, but it is definitely not like Christmas! And the only reason I'm doing little gifts is because I'm not doing candy.

  • DD is our first so who knows, but we might do gifts. But if we did, it would be a basket and one bigger spring/summer thing that she'd be getting anyway (splash pool, trike, etc). This year, it's all just small stuff like a book or some bubbles we'll blow

  • Gosh, I haven't even thought about this..

For now, it's a basket with mostly toys from the easter bunny.  I imagine this will remain the same in the future so my kids don't get used to getting a ton of candy.  I would consider giving

  • Growing up, it was a basket and candy filled eggs. The basket had some small gifts inside and a chocolate bunny. As we got older, the "small gifts" morphed into a check from my parents.

  • Both? Gifts, but they have to fit in the basket. My baskets growing up always had a couple books, a movie, something else random, and a few pieces of candy.

I make a basket of just candy for DH since we don't keep candy in the house normall
