Itchy incision...

So I had my c-section 2 weeks ago, and although it's healing very nicely, it itches like crazy! Anyone else experience this? If so, what have you used to relieve the constant itch? Thanks!

The itching is good, it is a sign of healing. I wouldn't put anything on an incision that fresh, but it does get better.

check with your dr. i'm now in my second pregnancy and it itches like mad -- my dr recommended hydrocortisone, but i'm not sure you should be putting that on a 2-week-old scar.

I wouldn't put anything on an incision that new. It's totally normal and actually good. However, mine still itches 11 weeks later.

Mine still itches 2 years later, especially when I was pregnant. Since yours is new, I would just keep it clean and dry. HTH!

Still itchy here a year later. Please do not put anything on it yet. Trust me, you do not want to have complications with your incision.

I had a c-section 10 days ago, and my incision also itches like crazy. The nurse warned me it would become itchy, and said to try using a blow dryer on cool/low heat. It *kind* helps? Give it a try!

It's weird but my last CS was 5 years ago and mine still itches from time to time. Think it may be hormone related.
