Oh I feel so bad - work shower related

Just wanted to share.  Yesterday I called in sick to work because I just didn't feel great and sleep the night before sucked so I wanted a day of rest.  It was my first sick day this entire pregnancy.  So today I come in and find my office decorated in pink and gifts from my co-workers.  There was a surprise shower for me yesterday and I missed it!  I feel like such a jerk but I obviously had no idea.  A lot of my co-workers are off today but the ones here came in my office and I opened the gifts which included a very generous gc that they chipped in on.  I wasn't sure they were doing anything for me at work and it was such a nice surpise.  I think I will be bringing in treats next week to thank them.

BFP #2 blighted ovum found 8.2011 @8w, misoprostol
BFP#3 - missed m/c 6.11.12 @ 9w3d, d&c revealed extra chromosome 15
BFP#4 8.10.12, DD born 4/26/13

    This same thing happened to me.  I called in last Thursday for the same reason. Came in Friday and had a surprise shower that was supposed to have been Thursday.  They were scrambling to move it to Friday, keep the cake refrigerated, etc.

    Aw! How nice of them to do a shower for you! Don't let yourself feel bad for taking care of yourself, though. I'm sure they all understood!

    I would be shocked if my coworkers had a shower for me. I guess it would depend on who was working that day, but I would be surprised nonetheless. That's so sweet of them all!

    Oh no! Daniele is right, even the best sitcom writer couldn't have topped that! Too bad they didn't "schedule an important meeting" or something for that day to try and lure you in. But you couldn't have known, and you needed your rest, so I hope they wer
