I'm confused... you mean if I got divorced right at this minute? I would probably return to my maiden name (actually, I've only changed it on my bank accounts and social security card so far) and insist that my daughter have my maiden name.
Keep it. It took me 3 years of marrige to go to the SS administration to legally change my maiden name to my married name! God knows how long it would take to change it back! lol
If I have children with my married last name, I'd keep that.
Ditto.
DH said.. what if you get remarried? and I said I would probably hyphenate it then, as much as I really don't like hyphenated last names. (My name is long enough already!)?
I did get divorced several years ago and I kept my married name. My maiden name is terrible so I just preferred to keep the better name. Now if my current husband and I got divorced I guess would do the same, especially since my child would have my married name. Not that divorcing again is even an option, it was just awful.

We aren't allowed to change our names in Quebec so it doesn't pose a problem BUT if I could have changed my name, I would go back to my maiden even if the kids have DH name.
