July 2012 Moms

Do/did you love your breast pump?

Hi!

I'm here from the July 2013 board seeking advice from you now experienced mamas!  I will be going back to work 3 days a week after maternity leave and will need to pump on those days.....any of you find a double electric pump that didn't break your bank account but that you would still recommend?

I am grateful for your time and responses!

  • The Medela Pump In Style Advance has been wonderful and I EP... I've spent A LOT of time with this machine... Do yourself a favor and BUY THE HANDS FREE BRA when you buy the pump.

  • Talk To your insurance company they're now required to cover breasts pumps. I knew I wanted a hygeia brand pump so called insurance, they hooked me up with medical equipment providers that would get me a hygeia. Didn't spend a dime and love my pump.

  • Love + breast pump?  Does not compute.

I use both a Freestyle and a Pump In Style.  Same output from each.   I like the portability of the Freestyle and the fact that I can make it quieter at work largely by nestling it in b

  • I got a lansinoh double pump from target. It was definitely not the most expensive there and it did really well for me. Never once had a problem and I pumped and breathed for 7.5 months!

  • I have the Medela PISA for work and its "ok".

But seriously the Medela Symphony (that you rent from the hospital) is amazing.  I am still renting it 9 months later.  Its quieter, empties you quicker and isn't so hard on your nips

  • I have a purely yours... though nice pump, the valves are $hit. I go through so many of them since if they're not working well, the pump loses suction.
