I was wondering for anyone who has had it done and has had a baby how long after membrane stripping did you go into labor? Im 4cm and had them stripped today. If she doesn't come by the end of next week they will induce due to high bp. Im hoping she will make an appearance on her own

    They tried to do mine today but I'm only at a 1 so my midwife said it might not be very helpful. It seems like something that's totally hit or miss.

    They did mine on Tuesday afternoon i I was 3cm for 2 weeks, went into labor Wednesday night and LO was born Thursday morning. GL!

    I had mine stripped with my first. Had been 2cm for weeks and at 40w6d was facing an induction the next day so we tried the sweep. I went into labor naturally about 8 hours later. Could have just been coincidence, but worth a shot as a last ditch attempt

    With my first son they tried stripping the membranes a week before his due date and nothing happened. He arrived on his due date during my 40 week appointment. I agree I think its hit or miss if it will even work.
