I also have a 2 week old and my husband and I have not slept in bed together since we got home from the hospital. I desperately miss sleeping in bed with him, but for now we take shifts during the night and take turns sleeping on the couch with the
the only swing he will sleep in is at my moms ( she has two little ones herself0 and the one she has is way to big for my small apartment. the swing we have he doesnt like and the only time he will sleep in his bouncy is when me or my husband is in the sh
This is normal, but my only solution was to start cosleeping. Both my babies slept with me for the first 6+ months. It isn't bad if you do it correctly.
Would a RnP be helpful for my LO that won't sleep flat? Is it elevated or is it like bassinet? I already have a swing, bassinet, crib, pack n play. Don't want to add another big item to the house but if you think it may work I'd be willin to try.
I'm right there with you Bassinet Blues! My 8 week old has basically been the same way as your 2 week old since we came home from hosp. I've been sleeping on couch for 8 weeks and I'm so ready to be back in my bed with my husband!
I Bf for the first 3 weeks but had to
switch to formula. My LO actually had
surgery at 3 wo for pyloric stenosis. I thought it would get better after surgery but no such luck.
Just wanted to say I can relate...my baby is 4 weeks today and every so often will sleep in her bouncer refuses to sleep in bassinet or pack and play ever but otherwise will only sleep on me...I sleep propped up with her on my chest. I know it's frowned
Might be acid reflux if baby won't lay flat and screams. I would google it to see if LO shows any other signs. We found out at 2 weeks our LO had it and the meds have made a big diff. I also bought a rock n play and she loves sleeping in there. She would
She started out not liking the bassinet and I was up and down with her all night. Finally, my lactation consultant suggested rolling up a towel and putting it under the mattress so it's elevated at the head, and it's been much better. She is going on 11
Have you tried swaddling? I highly recommend Happiest Baby on the Block by Harvey Karp. It has some great ideas for calming babies. You can read the book or watch the DVD. You can get it on iTunes or buy it used on eBay.
In all three hospitals I went to, they'd roll up blankets and place them on either side of my LOs while they were swaddled. With both of my girls, and now my son, I do something similar in the bassinet and always have sleep issues virtually disappear when
It took my daughter a while to get used to sleeping anywhere outside of my arms, and we still have trouble during the day! At night, I swaddle her really good and then rock her to sleep. When she was a few weeks old, I would put a heating pad in her ro
I 2nd the RnP!!!!! It's awesome. DD is only 5 days old but she didn't do great in the bassinet for the few nights we tried. I stuck her in the RnP and last night she was only up twice for 20 minutes each time to feed. GL!

We had this problem..fixed by swaddling tight and using the relax melodies app...mix of white noise and rain. He started sleeping great! Now he is 8 weeks and we use the app and a sleep sack instead of the swaddle and he goes 5 hours. Good Luck!
I had a little bit of this problem in the beginning and my sister suggested to roll to blankets and put it on her sides so she can feel protected. It worked really well. I also swaddle her.
it seems like i tried everything but i will try the heating pad and the shirt i was wearing. but as of now i sleep right next to him while he sleeps on the new born lounger on his tummy. i know thats very frowned upon but its the only way he sleeps and i
