My DS is 3 months tomorrow.
He is really starting to enjoy being held sitting upright (rather than lying down) and seems to be getting impatient with lying on his activity gym mat, etc.
I can hold him up, of course, and can prop him up on the couch with pillows when I am supervising, but I am wondering if there is something I can use where he can be propped up safely by himself. I work from home, and although I am always in the same room with him, I do need some time where he is entertained without my direct involvement. Hope that makes sense.
I am wondering about something like this:

He is holding his head steady when upright. Do you think this sort of seat would work for someone as young as him, or should I wait a month or two until he is really starting to "sit up"?
Any other ideas for me?
I do have a daughter as well, who is 2 on Friday, but she has low muscle tone and so was not able to use something like this until she was probably 7 months old, which is unusual. My son, on the other hand, seems to have rather advanced gross motor. Therefore I am not sure.
Re: Sitting up toys
I think mine is not quite ready for the boppy just because there isnt much back support -- but I will keep that in mind for later.
