Today was our 31 week appointment and also a follow up from our growth ultrasound that was at the beginning of this month. At our last apt my belly was measuring large so they ordered a growth scan to check baby boy.
He is around the 70th percentile for growth which Dr said was okay but his belly is in the 93rd percentile. She said that typically babies born to mothers of GD have bigger bellies and shoulders. But I passed my glucose test a few weeks back... guess who gets to do it again? This girl!! Joy.
I'm freaking out though that his belly was so big comparatively. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm also nervous because if his shoulders are growing too large as well then we will need to plan a c section. I guess if I need a c section I'd rather it be planned but this is all so overwhelming to me with only 9 weeks left. I really thought after passing the glucose test it would be somewhat smooth sailing until labor hit! I guess I was pretty naive!

Just keep swimming.
I had a similar thing happen with my second - DS. He was measuring really big, so they had me take the one hour GD test again....and I passed again. However, you can have a big baby even without GD. Even though I had my DD vaginally,
**DD1 - 7/9/98**
**DS - 11/9/00**
**DD2 - 4/30/13**
**DD1 - 7/9/98**
**DS - 11/9/00**
**DD2 - 4/30/13**
I'm sorry you have to do it again, and worry about it. I hope it all works out perfectly.
I'm interested now about measurements. I was told that my LO probably jumped from 40something percentile to 70something percentile between scans because his
