Lurker on this bored but thought you ladies would like this.

My sister is going to a baby shower on Saturday and the guests were asked to not only bring diapers but " please, only cloth, because mom is green". I was amazed. Just wow! Thought I'd share this jewel.

Yikes! Aside from all the usual no-nos of dictating gifts, asking for cloth diapers is nuts. I think most of them are like $20 a diaper! I would only buy one or two and that would be my entire gift- not a raffle entry!

Geez. I plan to do cloth but I would never ask people to bring them as well as a gift! They save money over time, but those are not cheap in the first place!

Seems like it'd completely ruin the fun of opening gifts if you've dictated exactly what they should be.

Ugh, my mother requested something similar to that be put on the invitations for my shower. Guess who's getting an Emily Post book for her birthday next month? Luckily, the hostesses contacted me about it beforehand so I could quash that.&nbsp

That's crazy. I have them on my registry but that's the extent of it. They are expensive and I don't expect people to shell out that much money for a diaper, or anything for that matter.
