High cal formula?

How long were your little ones on the high calorie formula? Our 35 weekers are almost 9 weeks old and the pedi had wanted them to stay in it until their next appt, which is a week and a half away yet. We've weighed them at home and they are over 10 lbs. We're worried they are gaining too much weight now and are anxious to get them on a regular formula, just not sure of we should switch them now or actually wait until our next appt.

    We are fortifying BM to 22cal, and our neo said we'll be on it at least until our next appt, when they are 6 months adj ... 8.5 months actual. That's when we'll start discussing the introduction of solids, as well, so we'll see!

    My DS was on 22 calorie formula until he was 18 months (not adjusted).

    My DD is 9mos actual and still on high calorie formula. Her pedi said he wants her on it til she's at least 1yr actual, she had iugr so she's still small for her actual age.
