I need some guidance...

My husband had a vasectomy 12 years ago, we got married anout a year and a half ago, we have been tossing around the idea of having a baby together for about a year, and just a couple months ago we decided to start by finding a donor and doing ICI at home, well after finding a donor last month we did our first try last month on the last day of my period, I know that wasn't the right day to try, but being that our donor works out of town on the weeks and is only available on the weekends I took the opportunity when it was there, well I'm pretty sure I have no idea what I am doing. I have read so many different story's of others success on the first try, well we are going to try again this weekend which will be sat and that is the first day of my o cycle, could someone please HELP me out I don't want to get this wrong I would like to know other people's success stories and step by step what they did? Please...

    You might get a better response posting on a general board related to ICI (whatever that may be lol) the LGBT boards might not be the best place for the answers you're looking for. GL!

    If you are doing ICI, it is only going to work if you do it as very specific times in your cycle.  In order to know when that is, you're going to have to get a better sense of how your body works.  I recommend going to www.fertilityfriend.com, s

    ET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Blighted ovum discovered at 7w5d; D&E
    FET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Missed m/c discovered at 9w5d; D&E
    Karyotyping: normal ~ RPL Testing: normal ~ Hysteroscopy: normal
    FET #2: 1 blast transferred 10/25; BFP 10/31!
    EDD 7/13/14 ~ Induced at 37w4d due to pre-eclampsia ~ Born on 6/28/14

    I agree with PP. Join fertility friend. Take the charting course. CHART. Read taking charge of your fertility also,it is a great book. 

    You need to chart.  

    TTC our first. Married to, and madly in love with, my beautiful wife. Living with our fur baby and enjoying 19 nieces and nephews. 
    • DW and I have been tracking, preparing, getting medical testing since January 2013.
    • First Cycle: Unmedicated ICI w/ Donor Sperm 08/02/13: BFN
    • Second Cycle: Unmedicated ICI w/ Donor Sperm 09/11/13, 09/13/13, 09/15/13: BFN
    • Third Cycle: Unmedicated ICI w/ Donor Sperm: 10/13/13, 10/15/13, 10/17/13, 10/21/13: BFN
    • January 2014: Sonohysterogram shows excellent lining & tubes have no blockages
    • Fourth Cycle:  Monitored clomid cycle  w/ ICI's at home: 1/24/14 and 1/25/14. Ovulation verified:  BFN
    • Fifth Cycle: 02/2014 Femara 5mg with ovidrel trigger CD14: BFN
    • Taking a few months off to evaluate if we want to keep trying

    Your post is more appropriate for the Third-Party Reproduction board.

    That said, I agree about the charting.
