trading in your car seat?

I have a peg perego infant car seat that i HATE. its so heavy even without LO in it and its small-im not even sure how long he will fit in it. Im really annoyed because when I went to buy buy baby to register the guy helping me said this was the best of the best for infant car seats. UGH. anyway-has anyone heard of trading in ur car seat there and getting 25% off another car seat? someone told me about this but I need to call the store to verify-and im not sure if its at buybuy baby or babies r us.  i hate to spend the $$ on another car seat/bases/stroller adapter...but thats how much i dislike it!

    There's a trade in event twice a year at Babies R Us. It's usually in February and September, so it will be a while until the next one. But honestly, if you shop around online you can usually get better deals than the price at BRU even with 25% off, es

    I have the Peg infant seat and love it. That said, I don't plan on taking it in and out of the car once E is big enough to hold his head up, because it is heavy. Like PP said I would suck it up for a little longer and get a convertible.

    BBB has a great return policy you may just be able to return the seat and get a new one.
