Oh FIL!

So earlier this week I posted about my FIL buying DH and I a new van. Well last night we went to the dealership to pick it up. After all the paperwork was signed FIL says "So I guess I know what you will be naming the LO if it is a boy" Thankfully he totally gets my sense of humour because I responded "Well it won't be Arie (his name) it's not like you bought us a Lincoln Escalade, or a Ferrari." Love my FIL with all my heart and am very blessed to have him in my life, I just don't like the name Arie for my child. Sorry.

You should have told him, "Yeah, we're naming him Honda (or whatever brand teh mini-van is)!"

Would you consider it as a middle name? Our first son has my FILs name but its also my DHs name. This LO will have my FILs same middle name but it was also my dads name, it just worked out that way.

I would consider FIL's name for a middle name but DH is insistent that IF this one is a boy he be named after MY father who passed away when I was 17. Otherwise I would for sure consider it.
