Fluttering

This is my first pregnancy, and I've been extremely sick all this week 9 I've felt the normal cramping/stretching but now I'm feeling fluttering. I go for an ultra sound a week from today, but I'm really thinking that I'm having twins. They run on both my side and my husbands side. Is it even possible to feel this early? I may be even 10 or 11 weeks, we aren't sure because this was a surprise. I just don't have anyone to talk to around here.

Re: Fluttering

  • Twins are not hereditary. I saw a genetic counselor with my last loss and she said its just something that happens. It by no means has one to do with another. But this early no I don't think so multiples or not.

  • Twins on your DH's side of the family doesn't matter.  If you were to have twins it's because you released two eggs or it was split (which isn't genetic, it's a fluke).  9 weeks is definitely too early to feel movement.  You're feeling gas

  • I believe releasing 2 eggs is genetic. It's the egg splitting that is a fluke.

I do think 10-11 weeks is early for fluttering.   You will likely only feel fluttering after the uterus has come out from under the pelvic bone.  At t

  • I hate to say it but the fluttering is likely gas or muscle spasms.. Your ute wont peek over your pubic bone until the end of the 12th week... And your baby is the size of an olive or prune right now depending on how far along you are. You will feel your

  • My mom had 2 sets of twins. I have a twin brother as did my older sister ( her twin passed away early on in the pregnancy). I am currently pregnant with my first LO and I'm only pregnant with one child. I admit, we were hoping for twins since I am a twin,
