Had a c-section with our first. I was actively pushing for two hours and he would come down and go back up after each contraction. The nurse said with how hard I was pushing he should have been flying out. We decided on a c-section. I carried around a LOT of guilt for the next few months and still do. Everything went fine with the c section, it just wasn't what I had envisioned. Recovery time was super sucky and I hated that part. I'm about to enter the second trimester and have already talked with my dr. About the possibility of a vbac. She talked about the risks, said they do vbac s often. But she did question whether I could push this baby out when I couldn't push out my 7pound baby. Sigh. I totally understand what she is saying. She also said that recovery time from a planned c section is much easier. I know it's ultimately up to me and my husband what we feel most comfortable with, but I'm so up in the air about it at this point. Anyone else struggle with this?

I work in L&D and I can tell you that a lot of the reason why women can't push babies out is because of the position the baby is in. It has nothing to do with how big they are, especially if your last baby was 7 lbs. With my 1st I was induced due t
