Cloth Diapering

Best Bottoms?

Has anyone used Best Bottoms? I need recommendations.

What I like are the snap CDs and I like that best bottoms has snap-in inserts, I have heard bad things about the pocket ones.

I'm 15 weeks pregnant, so I've never actually used a CD before.

I don't want to have to put on a new diaper each change, I like the idea of removing the liner and wiping shell to wear again immediately after.

Thoughts?

  • We use and love them for night-time and for travel (as you can fit a bunch of them in the diaper bag). The fit is great on my peanut (seriously she's in the 3rd percentile for weight and the 75th for height) and yet also fits great on my friend's short

  • I haven't tried best bottoms as a system. I have a couple of their hemp inserts that I use in a pocket with MF for nighttime-they work great! I like the idea of inserts and covers, but I think it works better when the babies are older. With the runny newb

  • I agree with both PP.  My son is a little over 1 and I started using Best Bottoms after we introduced solids.  I love them for all the reasons you listed plus they don't take up much room, less laundry and you don't have to stuff and unstuff

  • I loved the idea of them but the diybke leg gusset was just too tight in my dd. she in the 100th percentile for height 40th for weight so she is not chunky.
Also like pp mentioned, most the time with poop, runny or not, it gets on the cover. <br /

  • We love our best bottoms!  It's the only diaper that I don't have leaks in.  However, I am still building my stash.  I love how easy they are to use.  I prefer the stay dry inserts because they keep her dry.  We do use the hemp wh

  • Love them! Agree with pp though - they're probably not the best option for runny newborn poop.

I loooove how trim they are - especially the hemp insert. Plus it's very very absorbent.
