  My OB did not deliver DS and the on-call OB was less than ideal ( I had to wait to push) but I sent a thank you note and a picture of him a week later......she stopped to thank me the next time she saw me in the office and almost 4 years later still as

  The most our dr/nursing staff may get is a thank you card with a picture of the baby.  I'm doing the work, our dr doesn't even come in until it's time to push and usually doesn't come back until 24 hrs later, and it's usually a different dr.
