This is probably a dumb question and I'm sure it varies from place to place, but does your child have to be at least 3 years old before they attend preschool? DS turns 3 in January. If I called around to see about starting him in September would that be normal? He'll start kindergarten when he's 5 turning 6 so to me it makes sense.

I couldn't find a preschool that would take DS under 3 and potty trained.
The exception to that is places like kindercare which is a daycare but calls their 4 and up preschool and pre-K. But I would've had to pay for a PT or FT spot depending on
