Totally breaks my heart...

I have a friend who has been helping out this young single mother of a 3 years old. I just found out that the single mother shot and killed her 3 year old daughter before turning the gun on herself (and ending her own life as well). I found out just as I put my daughter down for a nap. As soon as I heard I ran into her room and gave her the biggest hug and rocked her for a while. I just cannot imagine anyone coming to a point in their lives where they would want to take their child's life.

    That is beyond disheartening. So many people stuggle to have their own babies. Then there is people like this who kill their own and then themselves, that is so terrible. People like her shouldn't of been given the blessing of having a baby.

    What's so incredibly sad to me is how difficult good mental health support is in this country.  We're so quick to write a script for this, push a drug for that and hope it all works itself out.
