Announcing Pregnancy

My husband and I found out we were pregnant last week. We are only five weeks along but we wanted to tell my family on Easter (Sunday). We told my father last night at dinner we were pregnant but it was very difficult because my mother just passed away and this will be hard, to say the least, without her. We know you shouldn?t tell people before the 12 week mark however my husband is an Officer in the Army and he leaves for additional training (not war) for 4.5 months very shortly. We wanted to do something cute for everyone, like place a cute poem in an Easter egg and have everyone open the egg at the same time but we need help thinking of a poem. Any ideas of a poem or another idea on how to announce?  Thanks guys

    Not a poem but I'm gonna do something like next year we will have another bunny hoping with us. We r eggspecting! Sorry about your mom I became pregnant with my first shortly after my dad died. It ended up being a joyous event for my mom and helped n her

    That is beyond adorable! I am sorry to hear about your dad as well. My father was so sweet last night when we told him, we expected him to be tough about it. I hope this helps everyone cope and deal in a positive way. Good luck with everything and thank y

    We are waiting as well to tell the rest of the family and facebook world until 12 weeks. I fully agree with you about only tell those you are able to untell. Good luck

    Hi Lizz,

    I am 5 weeks this week, too, and we are announcing it to my mom and stepdad this Easter weekend (everyone else will have to wait until 12 weeks).  I'm doing the egg/poem idea as well.   Mine is:

    "We know it's Easter
