There is a baby sale coming up on base, and I'm hoping to get some good deals on things that we never had for DS. We borrowed a swing for a few weeks, but then DS didn't like that. I never got anything else because there was no space when I lived with my parents. I'd really like to have somewhere to put Baby Girl (besides the RnP) to entertain her when I need to give attention to DS.
So....swings, bouncers, stuff like that: what did you have? What features were good? What features were worthless? What products were you able to use the longest?
I feel like a FTM on this one - no idea what to get. Also, on the electric stuff, how often do you have to replace batteries, and is it really better to try to find something that plugs in?
These are the specific products they have listed in the sales ad, but will have others on sale (mostly older stuff....it takes them awhile to get the new stuff).

A swing is a must! Both of my children hated it the first couple weeks but it grew on them. DD has been so congested she will only sleep in the swing.
