Today is my first day back at work... i didnt want to intro before because i could barely post.
Hailey Elizabeth was born on her DD. I saw my MFM the day before and he sent me directly to the hospital to be induced because my fluid was low (about 2)...
My birth story is pretty quick...
At around 1pm on Friday ... MFM said your fluid is low go to the hospital now. I couldnt even go home to get my bag he said go now.
We finally got into the L&D triage area at 5ish, we went up to the inducing room shortly after that.
At 7:10 they put the Cervadil in... at 11ish i started feeling contractions, they told me if they got really bad they would give me morphine for the pain... by midnight they got really bad... i was 1cm dilated and they were able to feel her head already. So they gave me some morphine, all it really did was relax me between contractions.
When they got really really bad after that, they were going to give me something else but they called my OB and he said OK to the Epi. At 3:20 i got the Epi.... It started wearing off around 5ish and hey had to check me again before they would give me another dose. When they checked me at 5:50 i was already fully dilated and they would not give me any more because i would be pushing soon.
Hailey was born so quickly that my OB wasnt even there for her delivery. She was born at 6:39 after 40 minutes of pushing (6 contractions, 3 pushes per contraction, 10 seconds for each push).
6lbs 2oz and 20" long... with blonde hair! And curly when wet lol
When she came out she wasnt making any noise... the nurses called in a code 99 or something like that... I looked at the Dr and the other nurses hoping they would tell me what that meant and they said sometimes they need oxygen to get the lungs going... but a few seconds later she started wailing... so then i started wailing lol...
I had a 2nd degree tear and yes i did poop lol, but they said thats how they know im pushing properly.
Here are some of her newborn pics
