  Because we supplement with formula, our doctor told us to wait on the drops until she is nine months.

  Our old pedi (we moved during this pregnancy) never mentioned it for DD1.  Our new pedi did, but I'm not giving them because I take a vitamin D supplement.  We also try to get outside in the sun when we can.

  My family doc has never mentioned it with any of my kids, so we have never done it.  We try to get enough sunshine and if we aren't, I up my Vitamin D, which goes through my BM to the baby.

  No one mentioned this. I may ask at 2 month appointment. 

  We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013.  We love her to pieces.  

  We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011.  She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.

  I have never given either of my kids Vitamin D drops. We live in Florida though, so we are out in the sunshine year round.

  My ped recommended it, but I'm curious if I can just up my dosage I take?

  My understanding was vitamin d is NOT transferred through breast milk that's why it's suggested to give.
