My OB practice does not induce VBAC at all - so I have to schedule an RCS. I happily scheduled for 05/03 - that is 41w4d. I scheduled that when I spoke to one of the doctors at the practice who is supportive of my choice.
Two weeks ago, I went for a growth US. They told me that the baby was "good-sized" and to expect the baby to be just a little larger than my daughter. Sounds good to me! She was 8lbs 3 oz. I know Growth scans are notoriously off, but I was so glad because I thought it would be off on the high side and they would be predicting a 10 lb baby and insisting on 39w RCS.
So yesterday I saw one of the OBs who is not supportive of the VBAC. And she said that "due to the large size" they weren't comfortable letting me go past 40w and my RCS would have to be rescheduled no later than 40w. So my RCS is now moved to 40w1d - 04/24.
There is no arguing with this woman. She is dismissive and rude. I know that I can reschedule it myself as it gets closer - and I probably will if need be. It's just so frustrating. My next three appointments are with the two doctors that have been supportive of VBAC so I don't have to see her again. I am just afraid she will be on call when I go into labor. I wish I could get a copy of the schedule - lol - so I could "hold the baby in" is she's there. Just till the end of her shift.
Re: They moved up my end date - I knew this would happen.
I'm sorry about that - could you call the office and reschedule your back up RCS now? Or just cancel the 40wk1day one all together?
I think waiting til the shift changes is a great idea - I mean, not that you can hold a baby in but if she's
