no nap routine?

Just curious...My son usually takes 2-3 naps a day but he can sleep anywhere so he'll just fall asleep in the car or on his playmat when he's tired.  This is fine for me as I am stay-at-home mom and his night sleep schedule is very regular with no problems (bed for the night at 9 until 8 in the morning) but I'm wondering if it's weird he just naps whenever he feels like it during the day?  Is a nap schedule really necessary if he's not having sleep issues?

    We don't have a nap routine. Our kids nap whenever they please. I don't see the need for one.

    Sept 2013 started TTC#2 (never got PP period so hoping for the first egg to drop)
    Jan 2014 - diagnosed POF (Premature Ovarian Failure) and told pregnancy not possible without egg donor because my ovaries would never function again with my hormone levels (FSH 136, LH 98.6, AMH <.03, estradiol 0, HCG 7) - using acupuncture, chiropractic care and TCM herbs / supplements

    we have no nap schedule either...she naps wherever, whenever. The only nap rule is that I don't let her sleep more than 3 hrs (like that ever happens..not!)

    Usually a kid will start to set their own nap schedule if you don't instill one, which is why I don't really enforce one. My LO is already showing a pattern that I haven't set at all, and I am fine with it. Their biological clocks will just get into a gro

    With my first I was crazy about having a routine for naps... This time? My LO sleeps where he lays. I have no plans to force a routine either. One is forming on it's own and that's just fine.

    My LO is predictable but not on a schedule. I SAH; so, I am not to worried about having her on a strict schedule. She will fall asleep when she is tired...no matter where, when or how.

    That said, I agree with PPs who said, for now, don't mess with it if it works. You will probably want to start a routine when she's a bit older (and she may even start setting it
