Hi! I'm just wondering when you moved your LO into a toddler bed and why you chose to do it then? Are there any specific signs I should look for, to judge if she's ready or not?
A little about my DD. She will be 16months old on April 2nd, and she is a very independent little thing. She is and always has been a phenomenal sleeper. It's very rare that she will fight bedtime/nap time or throw a tantrum, she just curls up and goes to sleep (a solid 12hours at night and 2 solid naps during the day). In the morning she wakes up and plays/chitter chatters for about 30mins before screaming for me. About a month ago she started getting herself up on the couches and lately has become really good at getting up and back down (about 2ft) by herself.
We're expecting another in June but he will be in our room with us for the first 5-6 months. We would be converting DD's crib into the toddler bed, but I think I would use one of the mesh/padded bed guards instead of the little wooden one that goes with the crib because the mesh one is much longer (leaving only about a foot, maybe 2, open at the end) and DD still moves around a lot in her sleep. We also keep her door closed at all times when she is sleeping. I'm planning to get a Foscam video camera so either way I won't transition her until that is installed.
Any advice would be awesome!

We moved him over about a month before he turned 3. We moved him because he asked to go into a big boy bed. So we did. That night. We never had a single issue & I'm sure it's because he was ready for the change and not because we did it on our
We're not moving DD into a toddler bed until she's three, unless she starts climbing out. She is also an amazing sleeper and if it ain't broke, don't fix it, KWIM? I'm not about to start presenting her with the idea that hey, you're
DD went to a toddler bed right before she turned 3. She was doing ok in her crib, no climbing out or fussing, but we went on vacation and she slept in a bed, so we decided when we came home to make her crib to the toddler bed. She is very g
Our independent little guy never did well in a crib, so he slept in a twin bed pretty much since the beginning.... we moved when he was about one and never set up the crib in the new house. I'm not sure that would work for everyone, but you mentioned t
