Amino fluid?

So today I'm 38w2d and had an appt everything is going good. But I forgot to mention to my doctor that they other day I was leaking something? Well TMI, but I just went to the rr and had the same issue. I called in telling the MW and was hoping they would tell me to come in so they could check and see just to kind of prepare myself. Well she said yep that's probably what it is! Um okay? Anyone have any advice or similar stories? I'm starting to freak the freak out! Is there really any way to know myself if that's what it is?

    When my water broke my doula told me to feel it and if it was slippery like lube that it was definitely fluid. However, I had a ton of it and my pants were soaked so there was plenty to check with.
